Homoródfürdő is Székelyudvarhely 18 km, 34 km from Miercurea Ciuc and 6 km of the Vlachs.
It is situated on the river valley and stream Homorodul Great Bath, at an altitude of 740-760 m.
Featuring local interest baths of mineral water, with several mineral water springs (springs Lobogo, Maria, Csorga, Homoradi, Ilona, Fenyves). The common characteristic of these springs water is rich in mineral content (Li, Mn, Br. J). Both are used for curative purposes and as drinking water. After some indirect evidence of these sources is assumed that water was used during the Roman occupation.
Typical alpine village has a microclimate, being sheltered from the winds, and is conducive to recreation, and postoperative recovery in stăril.
Földvár ruins, stood on Laz, near the old Roman road, was first described by Gabor Taglas. It was found that there are traces of a Roman castellum 36x36 feet, only 200 meters south-west of it are other Roman ruins of fortifications, the 23x15 feet, probably dating from the Second Century. The two reserves are declared archaeological ruins as monuments of Harghita County Register in 1992.
Ski slope to Homoródfürdőr is excellent, but rather low altitude ski season does not favor one too long.
Upon entering Homoródfürdőr to the left side of the road, a church was built in 1765 by Count János Lázár, as gratitude for the healing of rheumatism due to the therapeutic effects of this settlement. At the entrance there is a wooden sculpture representing a monk.The villas are approximately 4,000 camp beds, camp is organized and creative, has a conference center held recently.City has a two star hotel, restaurant, bar and has a potential for additional accommodation in private villas.Location Baile Homorod
