Baile Govora/Valcea/Romania

In the north-east of Oltenia, Valcea county, in a region of forested hills acoprite beech, fir and spruce are found ... Govora Baile.
This unique spa park was designed by landscape painter Emil Pinard in the early twentieth century.

Govora has become important for the variety and therapeutical properties of water rich in sodium, chlorine, sulfur, bromine (all courses are beneficial for external) and hypotonic rich in magnesium, calcium and sulfur (for internal courses).
At Govora is another "ingredient" beneficial treatment: mud. In fact, there are two types of sludge: one that is extracted from fossil locality and mud sludge from Ocnele.

Tourists can treat this respiratory disease (asthma, chronic bronchitis, lung enfizem, microbial or viral pneumonia, sinusitis, pharyngitis, etc..), Degenerative disease and rheumatic diseases.
Govora is the place for treatment of peripheral and central neurological disorders, as well as those of post-traumatic disorders and associated diseases (gynecological, endocrine, cardiovascular, digestive and urinary tracts).
Besides modern balneology complexes, and the Govora is a sanatorium for rheumatic and respiratory diseases for children.

Treatment Govora resort is contra-contagious infectious diseases, venereal diseases malignant tumors, bleeding, mental illness, the nature of TB disease and pregnant women (starting in the third).
From Govora Govora village can be reached, where Govora Monastery. In the south of the village is the place Frincesti Govora. In this place the Church in a timber.
